Description:
The mallard is the most common type of duck. It lives in ponds, lakes and marshes. The female's molten brown color is different than the male with his green head, white neck and brownish chest. Range: Canada and U.S. in the summer, Northern Central U.S. all year and Southern U.S. in winter.
